It gives me immense happiness to share my IELTS bands with you, I scored overall 7 bands and in Writing I scored 6.5 bands which was extremely challenging for me. Although I studied in an English medium school but there was not much focus on the use of English as a mode of communication, be it written or verbal. As a result, I was weak in both of them. When I joined the offline coaching, I was made aware of this and the teacher gave me the assurance that it will improve surely, but not without my sincere efforts which I promised that I will make. In about 3 weeks’ time my spoken English was improved to a great extent but I was still struggling with Writing despite the grammar classes, vocabulary sessions and writing sessions because I had lack of ideas when it came to Task 2. There used to be very interactive and detailed pre-discussion in the class for that every day and after that I was able to write it but when I had to do it all by myself in the weekly mock test, I struggled and could not finish it on time because I took more time to think about the topic. Then the teacher started to have extra session every day where all the students used to practice understanding the demand of the question and developing ideas as per that, so that we could get better at idea generation. This made me aware about varied topics and situations and I began to think about the situation from different perspectives which gave me better ideas related to any topic.
